Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) wants to host Pakistan for a short series in December, a BCCI official told The Indian Express.

“We want cricketing ties to happen, we don’t want politics to hamper cricket. We will be going with a few proposals."

Board official said that the BCCI needs government permission for the series against Pakistan.

It’s time for BCCI to make a call – says Shaharyar Khan

“To play against Pakistan, we need to get the government’s permission. So we need to speak to the government and whatever decision the government takes, the BCCI will decide accordingly.”

Indian cricket team is currently playing South Africa in a four Test series at home, which will finish on December 7 and is due to tour Australia for a short series in January, which leaves a short window for a series against Pakistan.

BCCI chief regrets ill-treatment of PCB team

“The first proposal, we can have five ODIs and two T20s. In the second proposal, we can have three ODIs and two T20s. All these games will be played in those parts of the country where we feel there will be no disturbance from political parties.”, the source said.

Yusafzai | 9 years ago | Reply @Naveed: Also, by having Pakistan play in India, they may be trying to play down the recent waves of violence against minorities. I mean if we make an outlandish assumption that tourney is held in India and also that it completes without any issues, then it can be used to project a peaceful image of ruling party there.
Lunch Box | 9 years ago | Reply @TiffinBox: and Indians are shameless. By tendering such an offer they want to take us for a ride. If you are such a lion step out of India and play with us. Like a woman you want to remain holed up in your own house. It is our turn to host the series and we are doing it in Dubai. Coming or not?
