KARACHI: The Rangers informed the administrative judge of the anti-terrorism courts on Monday about the 90-day preventive detention of a political worker suspected of being involved in terrorism. The paramilitary force presented Kaleem, said to be an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, before the Sindh High Court judge Naimatullah Phulpoto, who is administering the city’s ATCs. The Rangers officials, accompanied by their legal team, submitted that the suspect was picked up during the ongoing targeted operation in the city. They added that he has been detained for three months under Section 11EEEE of the Anti-Terrorism Act for questioning since the force had credible information regarding his involvement in terrorism activities such as targeted killings, extortion and kidnappings.
