The Futsal Federation of Pakistan (FFP) will work together with the Bradford City Futsal Club to develop a national team for the country and host the squad in the UK.
According to FFP Chairman Majid Shafiq, the initial agreement between the two parties includes the Bradford City Futsal Club hosting Pakistan’s futsal developmental squads. The step will also enable the local Pakistan-origin players in the UK to come forward and participate in the trials.
Shafiq disclosed that the trials in the UK will begin in December, where the FFP will shortlist players ranging from U12 to U23 categories.
Majid hopes to improve futsal in Pakistan
Meanwhile, the FFP is also partnering with the English Football Association National League’s top professional futsal clubs to make Birmingham International Futsal Arena accessible for Pakistani athletes.
