PESHAWAR: Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Haji Ghulam Ali has said that the government should give serious consideration to business community’s suggestions for stabilising the economy.

Addressing a reception in Peshawar, Ali said the policy chalked out during the last three years has failed to give expected results. “Without creating peaceful environment, we cannot become a prosperous nation and for that we have to work hard.”

The federal government, he added, should also make arrangements for provision of interest-free loans up to Rs1 million to the traders of the province with the objective of revival of economic activity.

He assured the trading community that a separate chamber would soon be set up for small traders.
