Money dispute: Deaf and dumb man deprived of eyesight (Lahore city)

FAISALABAD:

A deaf and dumb man lost his eyes in a shooting incident in a Gojra police precinct on Sunday.  Jimmy Carter, a resident of Chak 424-JB, said his brother Nomi Masih, 32, who was deaf and dumb, had had a dispute over money with Younas Masih, a relative.  He said Younas Masih and his friends Ashraf Masih alias Papu and Marghoob alias Robby abducted Nomi Masih on October 11. He said they had beaten him up for several days.  Later, they shot at him and one of the bullets grazed his forehead, he said. They left Nomi Masih in a deserted place and fled. 

Carter said Masih was taken to a hospital which referred him to Allied Hospital, Faisalabad. “The doctors at Allied Hospital did their best to save my brother, however, Nomi lost his eyesight,” he said. An FIR has been registered with the Gojra Saddar police. However, no one has been arrested so far.

He requested the chief minister to take notice of the incident.
