KOTLI SATTIAN: Two villages in Kotli Sattian tehsil have been without electricity for the last 28 days. Residents of Korina Kalan and Dhoke Gehal in Santh Sarola union council have protested against the local Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) officers for their inefficiency. Locals said they had complained to IESCO Murree sub-divisional officer (SDO) and Bhara Kahu XEN about the power suspension but to no avail. They appealed to minister for power Khawaja Asif, state minister for power Abid Sher Ali and IESCO chief engineer to look into the matter and restore the supply at the earliest. When questioned, IESCO Murree SDO told the media they did not have enough transformers. The SDO also said only the intervention of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi or Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, two ruling party MPs from the area, could resolve the problem at the earliest.
