Cricket: Zia calls for strict action

Tauqeer Zia has called for strict action against the suspended trio if their allegations prove to be true.

MULTAN:
Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Tauqeer Zia has called for strict action against the suspended trio if their allegations prove to be true. Zia told reporters that the property of Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif should be confiscated if there was any truth in the allegations made against them.

He said that there has been an increasing number of scandals brought to the media’s attention since 2003, which puts pressure on the PCB and hence affects the team’s performance in the World Cup. “There seems to be a conspiracy against Pakistan but the board is lazy in every matter.”
