Degrees and awards: Gomal University’s ninth convocation to be held on Nov 25

Gold medals will be awarded to students who performed well in exams

DI KHAN: The ninth convocation of Gomal University has been scheduled for November 25, stated a handout issued by the varsity on Friday.

According to the document, the ceremony will be held at Dr AQ Khan Auditorium on the university premises.

“A number of committees have been established on the directives of Vice Chancellor Major General Hamid Shafiq to ensure the ceremony goes according to plan,” the statement quoted Gomal University Public Relations Director Fazal Rahman as saying.

“Invitations for the convocation will be sent to parents, students and high-ranking civilian and military officers in the region.”

As per the document, gold medals will be awarded to all those students who performed well in their exams.

“Degrees will be awarded to students who completed their programmes,” the document quoted Rehman as saying. “The following degrees will be awarded: Masters of Arts (MA) and Master of Science (MSc), Bachelor of Education, Master of Education, Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Commerce, Bachelor of Science Telecommunication, Bachelor of Computer Science, Biotechnology, Doctor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.”

The handout added, “Degrees will also be conferred on those who took their BEd exams privately in 2010.”
