Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Friday asked reporters to refrain from asking him questions related to Reham Khan.

“No matter what happened between us, I cannot hear anything about Reham Khan and will not tolerate anyone disparaging her,” the PTI chairman said while addressing the media in Islamabad.

“I will request all of you that this is such a matter that I will not talk about her and I also expect from you that you don’t ask anything about it,” he added.

Further, Imran said he has apologised to a reporter he slapped down for questioning his ability to judge people around him.

Imran gives reporter dressing down for prying

“I have apologised to the reporter. I became angry when a question of personal nature was hurled at me,” Imran clarified.

“One can be a journalist but first of all, we are humans and should avoid rubbing salt on someone’s wounds when they are in pain,” he added.

At a news conference in Peshawar, the reporter had poked Imran on his supposed inability to judge people while selecting his close aides in either political or private life because whoever he selected ditched him in the end.

Reports of Reham hitting Imran are absolute lies: PTI

Imran lost his temper and attacked the journalist instead of replying to the query. “Every society has some form of etiquettes. Every individual has some dignity or some manners,” he chided the reporter.

Imran said the journalist should be ashamed of asking questions about someone’s personal life. “In many households,” he added, “people go through painful trauma. By asking such a question, you have not embarrassed me but rather shown your auqaat (worth).”

Leave country for a break instead of clashing with media, Shah tells Imran

Imran’s reaction upset the audience, especially the media persons who left the room in protest. Furthering his presser, Imran, while putting forward some evidence, said claims of rigging in the local government election should be investigated.

Imran and Reham announced their decision to divorce last week.

The PTI chairman also took the ruling regime in Punjab to task for their failure to provide masses with basic facilities and indulging in completing metro bus projects.

The whole media is behind this guy, what happened to the real journalism through which masses can benefit instead of some hot and spice..why there is no extensive coverage and follow up about the factory collapse in Lahore, why not do some investigative journalism in finding out the root cause of that incident, how come a under construction site was allowed to work, what about the child labor, what about all the other government departments who failed to do there duties to prevent such incidents, just imagine if this would have happened in Peshawar, I bet all of us would have seen flashing news for 2 days that Mr khattak can not be seen on the site as he is a super man who is going to rescue every one..Recommend

Another U turn. It clearly indicates Imran is a short tempered person which disqualifies him to be our leader. Hope he takes another U turn and resumes his marriage with Reham Khan. Recommend

Really, if he can dish it out, he needs to be big enough to take it in. A man who loses his temper is NOT fit to be a manager or a leader let alone Chief Minister or a Prime Minister. If he wants to remain a public figure, he needs to drastically change his behavior and attitude. He also needs to recognize his shortcomings in terms of judging people. So far, his actions have proved that he is a bad judge of people in the public as well as in his private life. An emotional man with poor judgement is dangerous and cannot be trusted as a leader. A very cool head and wisdom is a basic requirement of leadershipRecommend

    Dear all,
I don’t mean to offend anyone neither I’m a fan boy of chotey Mian n barey Mian and their second lot in shape of hunda shareef n all. But it doesn’t suit a 63 aged leader to say things like new I’m in hurry to build Naya Pakistan so that i can get married n also he was chanting slogans for himself that Wazir e Azam Imran Khan. You guys tell me does it suit a leader of such stature? I first thought that he’s just joking about the wedding but when he really did it i was totally shocked. Now see the result he has ashamed himself in front of everyone and then he’s saying now it’s his private life. How come it’s private life? It’s the part of Naya Pakistan movement and you all guys are on board.
And above all remember that “National Bhabi” drama? Now how come it’s private she used to be our national bhabi and bhabi Jan’s matter is everyone’s matter.
So why don’t people ask? Why they are trying to hide things? He said i will always speak truth i will not hide facts. So why now? What happened?
We didn’t forget his promises yet. National Bhabi is concern of whole Nation. Simple is that. Recommend

If IK had any sense, he should become silent. Silence in itself speaks volumes!!!! Ignore people who ask questions about his divorce and focus on his politics. That ex of his was nothing better than a emotionally unstable personality disordered person, who has done her best to de-seat him!!! Too bad he was so consumed with affection, he could not see it. About time, we give back to IK what he has given us- hope for our nation- rally around him, support him and don’t give him space to think about this woman- get him distracted and get him to work!!!Recommend
