After school: Nursery students left behind

DCO Chaudhry Habibullah has also ordered that an FIR be registered against those responsible

ATTOCK: The Attock district education department has suspended the entire staff of a primary school after they locked two students in their classroom on Monday. Teachers and staff of Government MC Girls Primary School No 5, R Block, Madni Road, locked all the rooms after school closed not realising that two nursery students were still in their classroom. Maria Rasheed and Muhammad Faizan, both four-years-old, were locked in the school for over two hours. A man in the neighbouring house heard the children crying and informed people in the neighbourhood. Locals gathered and informed the school staff and the education department. In the meantime, District Education Officer (Elementary) Uzma Noman reached the school and suspended the entire staff for negligence. She has also ordered an inquiry against the officials concerned. DCO Chaudhry Habibullah has also ordered that an FIR be registered against those responsible.
