According to information received by The Express Tribune, the City District Government of Karachi (CDGK) signed an MoU with the PCB thus assuring them alternate land or compensation for the construction next to the National Stadium’s parking area. “The city government has not fulfilled their obligation as yet,” a PCB official told The Express Tribune. “It’s been almost five years but no alternate land is given to the PCB according to the MOU that was signed.”
In the history of Pakistan cricket, various agencies have been claiming the stadium’s land including the Deputy Commissioner East, Karachi, who claimed a piece of PCB’s land, lying open for future development, for constructing the D.C. office and residential colony.
