LAHORE:

The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry is preparing a report on the ‘Ease of doing business in Pakistan,’ with an objective to identify the hurdles coming in the way of businesses and to suggest solutions to the government.

The decision was made by LCCI Senior Vice President Almas Hyder and endorsed by LCCI President Sheikh Muhammad Arshad and Vice President Nasir Saeed.

The LCCI office-bearers said that the economic signals are not as good as they are being portrayed. A recent report of the World Bank showed that Pakistan has further slipped down as far as ease of doing business is concerned.

LCCI was holding meetings with trade and industrial associations to gather data on challenges being faced by them and their impact on economic activities.
