Pakistan Women’s batting failed once again as hosts West Indies Women claimed a comfortable 11-run win through the Duckworth-Lewis (D/L) system to seal the three-match T20 series 2-0 in St George’s.

Only three Pakistani women were able to reach double figures as they floundered once more with the bat. The poor batting performance was summed up by the fact that the visitors hit only one four and one six in their entire 20 overs. This meant they were only able to set the West Indies a simple target of 96.

Deandra Dottin impressed with figures of 3-20 in four overs to continue her good run of form, and she was ably supported by the other bowlers; none of whom went for more than six runs an over.

In reply, all-rounder and skipper Stafanie Taylor made an unbeaten 48 off 43 balls to guide her team to the brink of victory on 91-3 after 17.4 overs, just five away from a win, before rain interrupted play.

The hosts were found to be 11 runs ahead of the par D/L score and were awarded a series-clinching win.
