Intra-party rivalry: Sher Ali casts ballot for Mayor Group candidate

FAISALABAD:

State Minister for Water and Power Chaudhary Abid Sher Ali said on Saturday that he had cast his vote for a candidate of the Mayor Group contesting election on bucket symbol. He was speaking to the media in Union Council-116 Nazimabad.  He said the Mayor Group had fielded candidates for chairman in more than 100 union councils in the city. He said the group’s main rival were PML-N candidates supported by MNA Abdul Mannan and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah. He said his father, Chaudhry Sher Ali, was a senior leader in the city. “My father introduced Sanaullah to politics,” he said.
