Food security: Farmers get free seeds for sustainability
Food Minister said PTI-led government has given a subsidy of Rs6 billion on wheat flour for consumers

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has started distributing wheat seeds worth Rs1 billion among farmers across the province.
He added the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government has given a subsidy of Rs6 billion on wheat flour for consumers. On the occasion, Lodhi announced an uplift package for locals. The package included the construction of a degree college for boys in Muslimabad, widening and carpeting of Chamhad Road and Rs2 million for the protection of agricultural land from erosion and an irrigation channel.

This was stated by K-P Minister for Food Qalandar Khan Lodhi during the foundation stone-laying ceremony of a government girls high school in Dheri Maira, Abbottabad, on Saturday.
“The quantity of seeds will be increased over the next three years,” he said. “The distribution of seeds among farmers is meant to boost agriculture activities, prioritise sustainability for farmers and ensure food security in future.”
