Unanimous: Political parties join forces for FATA

The group announced support for reforms proposed by parliamentarians for Fata’s betterment

JAMRUD: Khyber Siyasi Ittehad, an inter-party and union conglomerate, organised a conference Friday morning in Khyber Agency. The conference was led by committee chairman of Khyber Agency, Shahid Khan Shinwari, who is also a member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. The group announced support for reforms proposed by parliamentarians and vowed to put aside political differences to fight for Fata’s betterment. Speaking at the conference, Shinwari said tribal elders and locals will soon be given full rights due to the hard work and joint struggles of Fata parliamentarians, lawyers from the tribal belt and all political parties. The chairman also urged government and welfare foundations to provide assistance and relief funds to all the earthquake victims.
