SHERGARH: Pakistan Peoples Party Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari has vowed to support Awami National Party to strengthen democracy in the country. This was stated during a telephone conversation with ANP Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa President Amir Haider Khan Hoti on Wednesday. “Pakistan is incomplete without democracy,” Zardari said. “PPP has close democratic links with ANP and both parties should support each other in future to achieve a better and more democratic Pakistan.” Hoti appreciated Zardari’s efforts to extend support to his party and said the provinces had been granted maximum sovereignty. “During the PPP’s tenure, Pukhtuns were able to claim their identity when the North-West Frontier Province was renamed Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa,” he added.
