Commercial use: CDA operation continues, five houses sealed

These include saloons, boutiques, gyms, restaurants and several other commercial operations

The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) campaign against non-conforming use of residential houses is continuing with the recent sealing of five houses in different sectors of the city. CDA has warned owners and allottees to refrain from commercial use of houses otherwise their houses would be sealed; the authority can also cancel allotment of such houses. The houses sealed by teams of the authority’s enforcement directorate, building control section and CDA magistrate on Tuesday include House 3, School Road, Sector F-6/1, House 24-A, Street 37, Sector F-7/1, House 1, Street 29, Sector F-7/1, House 24-B, Park Road, Sector F-8/2, and House 410, Double Road, Sector F-11/3. During the course of operations, some violators are voluntarily giving up their commercial activities. These include saloons, boutiques, gyms, restaurants and several other commercial operations.
