CTD arrests 'RAW' suspect in Karachi raid

KARACHI: The Sindh Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have arrested on Wednesday an alleged member of the Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) during a raid conducted in Karachi's Baldia Town.

The suspect was identified as Muhammad Arif, an employee of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB).

CTD SSP Naveed Khawaja said the arrested suspect confessed to have been to Indian army camps, where he was trained to make bombs and handle arms and ammunition.

Police say a hand grenade and a pistol were also recovered from the suspect's possession while further investigation is underway.

Rollin & Trollin | 9 years ago | Reply @Another Indian: According to reports, confession was not made under duress. Apparently accused was wobbling his head excessively. When asked about it, he said he learned that at a RAW training camp..... go figure !
