RAC exhibition: Students’ theses on display

The artists, students of an RAC painting class, showcased 260 pieces including paintings, sketches and calligraphy

A group painting exhibition by up-and-coming artists was opened here on Wednesday, said a press release.


At least 36 young artists participated in the exhibition organised by the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC).

Punjab Assembly Member Lubna Rehan Pirzada inaugurated the exhibition. The artists include Wahaj Ahmed, Fouzia Sohail, Sarah Khalid, Arisha Ali, Sonia Hafeez, Nazish Bahadur, Numra Iqbal, Mahnoor Qamar, Mariyam Mushtaq, Rahat Zarab, Amna, Aqsa Nageen, Rija Kanwal, Maham Fiaz, Asad Jadoon, Iqra Nawaz, Laraib Mumtaz, Kazmeen Abbas, Amber Ikhlaq, Sadaf Batool, Azhar Mahmood, Razia Sultan, Muniba Shoaib, Farukh Jamil, Nauman Nawaz, Salma Bibi, Aruj Sheikh, Saddam, Samila Basharat, Muqadas, Shazia Akbar, Samina Razaq, Nida Habib, Serish Javed, Nili Khan, Sana Asghar and Sofia Hameed.

The artists, students of an RAC painting class, showcased 260 pieces including paintings, sketches and calligraphy. The artists used pencil work, poster colour, water colour, oil paint, mix media, pastel and charcoal.  The exhibition continues till Saturday.
