LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday directed the Punjab government’s counsel to present four police personnel deployed for the security of Ayesha Ahad Malik. The court is hearing a petition by Ms Malik against the government for not providing her security as directed earlier by the court. Her counsel stated that the court had ordered the government to deploy four policemen for her security. However, he said, the government had ignored the orders and deployed only one policeman. A provincial law officer rejected the claim and said that four men had indeed been deputed. The court will resume the hearing on Wednesday (today).
