All three formats: Pakistan edge India as most successful team in Asia

A comparison of Pakistan's wins in Tests, ODIs, T20s with India and Sri Lanka

Pakistan beat England on Monday to become the most successful Asian team in terms of numbers of wins in all three formats – Test, ODIs and T20s.

After the victory, Pakistan now boasts a higher total number of matches won and a higher win percentage when compared to the other two cricket powerhouses in the region, India and Sri Lanka. The team was already leading in the win percentage category but was tied with India in total wins in the Tests category.

Pakistan win Test, England the hearts

The men in green have played 394 Test matches to date, winning 125 of them with a win percentage of 31.7 -- the highest among Asian cricketing powers.

Interestingly, team India beat Sri Lanka in the number of wins 124-75 but the Islanders stand on higher ground when win rates are compared, edging India with a win percentage of 30.8.

Younis Khan becomes first Pakistani to score 9,000 Test runs

In ODIs, Pakistan has been involved in 851 outings with 451 wins in their basket. That equates to a win percentage of 52.9. India has bagged 450 wins from 891 ODIs accumulating a win percentage of 50.5. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has a win percentage of 47.2 with 358 wins from 757 innings. Pakistan once again wins the race in both metrics.

In T20s, Pakistan is well settled with 56 wins from 92 matches – a win percentage of 60.8. However, Sri Lanka might not have enough wins in their pocket (42 wins from 69 matches) but they stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan in terms of win percentage that is 60.8.

Misbah praises bowlers, England’s resistance

India, on the other hand, have won 31 T20s out of the 57 they have played which gives them a win percentage of 54.3.

Pakistan will be taking on England in the third Test from November 1 and if they are able to pull another victory against Alastair Cook-led side, they will move further above India in terms of number of matches won in Tests.

Otherwise on per capita levels in everything, except maybe rape, you guys are the same as pakistan so when you compare with pakistan, which has 5 times smaller popualtion, multiply your rank by 5. If you are ranked #7 in a specific industry, and if Pakistan's rank in that industry is higher than 35 (7*5) then you have failed in your comparison.

As far as population and size of the country India is bigger than Pakistan so there is no comparison between India and Pakistan. India is wasting their cricketers due to IPL only. India is failure to produce any genuine fast bowlers till date who can bowl more than 142 kph. Another side Pakistan is not playing their international matches in front of their home crowds but still they are playing good cricket than Indian team. According to cricket schedule Indian cricket team is having busy cricket schedule so it seems due to busy schedule Indian cricketers are badly exhausting so they are unable to give good results. Good work by Pakistan Cricketers keep it up.**

Dude real indicator is GDP & Per capita , which Pakistan has far better to Bangladesh ;) Remember , we are fighting with one enemy India(YOU) since 1947 and war are in war on terror since 2001. Avoiding defeating will not bring any respect dude. What matters is talent. Remember India is only respected for 1.2 Billion , who consumes alot and are source of economy for many countries. If you had a neighbor that wants to grab 60% of your territory, forcing you to intervene in a war lasting 4 decades (and counting) then your economy would also be like Pakistan's. Remember that for 45 years Pakistan's economy was larger than India's, and even today Pakistan's middle, lower and working classes are far more prosperous than India's. Cricket, by contrast, is one area where Pakistan and India have a level playing field to compare each other on. That's when you lost perspective and your insecure nationalism kicked in. Relax, it's just cricket!

Having membership of G20, brics.....with 7.3% growth rate and 380 billion forex reserve
