ISLAMABAD:

Global Dignity Day 2015 was celebrated at Mashal Model School, a charity school in capital, in an event organised by Right To Play-Pakistan (RTP-Pak). Students of the school performed different skits and presented a puppet show, to describe the concept of dignity and how society treats street children and kids with special needs and abilities. Muniba Mazari said it is our duty to provide basic health care and education to children. Global Dignity Day emphasises to facilitate children from every background to exercise their right to lead a dignified life, she said. Lodhi stressed to treat people without discrimination of colour. In Pakistan we discriminate people especially girls on the basis of colour and attach different stigmas to dark complexion, she said. Dignity requires treating and accepting people without any discrimination, on the basis of colour, she added.
