Successful negotiations: CDA acquires land for D-12 road

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday said it has successfully acquired land for the construction of a road in Sector D-12. The land was acquired from locals after a period of 13 years. According to a CDA official, possession of the land has been handed over to the authority’s engineering department to initiate development work. The official said the land possession issue had claimed two lives in 2002. He also said Ali, along with land deputy directors played a key role in the negotiations with the residents of Sector D-12.
