SWABI: The Swabi Democratic Alliance has said it will welcome Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan with black flags and banners when he visits the district on November 1. This was announced by Swabi district council nazim Ameerur Rehman during a meeting of the alliance on Wednesday. The Swabi Democratic Alliance comprises seven political and religious parties including Awami National Party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples Party, Jamaat-e-Islami, Swabi Qaumi Muhaz and Qaumi Watan Party. Black flags are meant to convey the alliance’s disregard for Imran over the provincial government’s failure to hand over powers and rights to the local government (LG) representatives. The alliance said it had been four months since the LG elections but no rights or powers had been allotted to the winners.
