Quetta bus blast: Terror case registered against unidentified culprits

Spokesperson for militant group Young Baloch Tigers claimed responsibility for the attack

A case has been registered against unknown persons under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) for opening investigation into the blast which targeted a passenger bus in Quetta on Monday night. 11 people were killed while 22 others were wounded in the attack.


According to the Sariab Police, FIR no 156/ 15 has been registered on behalf of Station House Officer Sariab Amin Jaffar against unknown persons under sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Explosives Act and 302, 304, 437 and 7 of the ATA.

Meanwhile, in a recent development, Beberg Baloch, spokesman for militant group Young Baloch Tigers, during a call made to the Voice of America news agency claimed responsibility for the attack and stated “our man was shifting explosives towards the target when they exploded due to the motion of the bus and he was also killed in the resulting blast”.
