Routine campaign concludes in K-P

A four-day polio campaign undertaken in 13 districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa concluded on Tuesday. This was stated in a handout issued by the health department. “The target was to immunise 3,273,508 children under the age of five,” read the statement. “However, 3,286,218 children were inoculated, which is more than 100% of the set target.” According to the handout, approximately 173,809 children were vaccinated in Bannu district, 276,634 in Charsadda, 289,276 in DI Khan, 114,875 in Hangu, 125,336 in Karak and 189,032 in Kohat. “At least 169,385 children in Lakki Marwat were immunised,” read the document. “Around 379,207 children in Mardan, 266,386 in Nowshera, 747,439 in Peshawar, 447,478 in Swat, 71,132 in Tank and 36,229 in Torghar were administered polio vaccines.”
