Enraged Pakistani and Indian cricket fans took to Twitter on Monday to counter Shiv Sena's demand that the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman's return to Pakistan with one of their own.

Hours after Hindu right-wing party Shiv Sena activists stormed the Mumbai office of Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) ahead of Shahryar Khan's meeting with his BCCI president Shashank Manohar, cricket fans took to Twitter to vent over the Shiva Sena attack, while urging the PCB to boycott the Indian board.

As a result of the Sena's protests, BCCI had cancelled the meeting.

SEAsian | 9 years ago | Reply The mention of Pakistan does stir emotions in India. This got worse after the Mumbai attacks. I was surprised that Pakistanis were allowed to commentate and umpire in India since then. I would not agree with a bilateral series between India and Pak in the foreseeable future.
John | 9 years ago | Reply More power to shiv Sena and I hope it’s more emboldened then it already is as that would help expose the nexus between BJP and the Extremist Hindus. For once the common Pakistani couldn’t care less about whether India plays Pakistan or not. I hope our cricket board shows some self-respect and not only forgets about this series but also boycotts India for any future matches including t-20’s, ODI’s and Tests.Simply opt out of the world T20 tournament owing to the threat to Pakistani players in India and opt out every time there is a tournament in India. Just make it a point not to engage with India in any sporting fixture , if this is what they wants then that’s the way it should be. We for sure will bear losses as India is a big lucrative cricketing country but no amount of monetary loss is greater than our self-respect, so put an end to this begging from India. We have seen the worst already with no cricket in our Country so it can’t get any worse than that.
