Uber will cover the rides to the polling stations and back, amounting to $15 each way, for the first-time customers, a representative says.

According to the company, the offers will be available in Edmonton, Calgary, the Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, London, Hamilton, the Waterloo Region, Quebec City and Montreal.
Uber has been through controversy since it was launched in Canada last year. Other taxi companies say Uber is an unfair competitor.
