Amir Khan case: Non-bailable warrants issued for five absconders

In the case of instigating terrorism and harbouring criminals against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Amir Khan, an anti-terrorism court issued on Thursday non-bailable warrants for the arrest of five absconders.
The MQM leader was also taken into custody and was later implicated in a case of instigating terrorism and harbouring criminals under the anti-terror law. The prosecution says that Khan was the security incharge at Nine Zero and the wanted and convicted criminals were given shelter with his consent. For the absconding suspects, it maintains they managed to evade arrest.

The non-bailable arrest warrants were issued against Minhaj Qazi, Raees alias Mama, Shahzad alias Mullah, Imran Ijaz Niazi and Naeem alias Mullah. The judge ordered the investigators to arrest the suspects and present them in court on October 30. According to the prosecution, the suspects were with Khan when the Rangers raided the MQM headquarters, Nine Zero, on March 11.
