Official orders Display of arms banned

KARACHI: The home department has, under Section 114 (6) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, imposed a complete ban on the display and carrying of weapons in Sindh with immediate effect till December 31, 2015.

The ban will not apply to security forces, law enforcing agencies and all security guards of private companies. The police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies will not be allowed to display or carry weapons when in civilian clothes.
