Following their unique promotional strategy, YRF took to Twitter yet again to share a three-minute video of Vaani introducing herself as the female lead of Befikre.
Vaani explains her two-year absence from the silver screen saying, "These years have been tough. After winning most promising debut awards, I expected my office to flood with offers but things did not fall into place the way I pictured."

She further mentions that Aditya Chopra had asked her to keep faith in herself and wait for the right project. "People started to speculate if my career would fade even before it began," she says.
But things took a surprising turn when Aditya approached her for Befikre and told her that he is returning to the director's chair for his upcoming project. "I had no idea whether I should start jumping around or break down," Vaani added.

On his father's 83rd birth anniversary, Aditya announced his next directorial venture Befikre - Those who dare to love, and had said earlier that the film is not being produced to chase numbers or break box office records.
Yash Raj Films are known for big names and big budget films, but this project is not geared towards that. Aditya has described Befikre as a light-hearted romance; his happiest movie; his youngest, riskiest film yet. Aditya last directed Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008.
