Fatal shock: Lineman electrocuted mid repairs

JAMRUD:

A private lineman was electrocuted in Sher Bridge area of Mullagori, Khyber Agency on Sunday.

According to locals, Gul Nawaz, a resident of Shin Sari in Mullagori, was repairing the main supply line of 11 kilovolts at a marble factory in Mullagori. Residents said Nawaz’s hand touched a naked cable resulting in severe shock.

Eyewitnesses said the victim fell from the pole and died on the spot. Locals and elders in the area appealed to Tesco as well as the political administration to provide compensation for his bereaved family.

Meanwhile, five wanted offenders surrendered to political administration officials in Jamrud, Khyber Agency.
