PESHAWAR:

The district government has issued directives to rename Palosai Road after an Army Public School victim, Asfand Khan.

The elders of Rahatabad union council met district nazim Muhammad Asim on Saturday. They told him  several schools and roads had been renamed after the victims who lost their lives in the December 16 attack.

During the moot, the elders told Asim that the deceased was the son of Ajun Khan – a nazim of the UC. The elders requested the district nazim to rename the road to honour Asfand Khan, the APS martyr.

The district nazim accepted their request and issued a letter to Town-III administration to release a notification in this regard. He also directed the town administration to immediately fulfil the necessary official work. Palosai Road passes through Rahatabad UC. Recently, the district nazim issued directives to rename Ramdas Chowk to honour an APS victim.
