Advanced technology: ‘Molecular methods help diagnose diseases’
Experts say due to lack of knowledge there was not a proper way to measure the need of medication in the past

Molecular methods are used in diagnosis of diseases and finding their accurate medication, said the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) spokesperson while addressing a workshop on ‘Molecular Tools in Immunology’.
They said molecular methods are used for diagnosis of infections, viral infections, hepatitis, immune related disorder and cancer including breast, lungs and prostate.

The seminar was organised by Pakistan Society for Immunology in collaboration with SIUT. The experts said that due to lack of knowledge there was not a proper way to measure the need of medication in the past. But with advancements in technology, it will be possible to prescribe specific medicines.
They said molecular methods are used for diagnosis of infections, viral infections, hepatitis, immune related disorder and cancer including breast, lungs and prostate.
