Shah plans to seek SC help to avoid experiencing difficulties

SUKKUR: Chief minister Qaim Ali Shah has said that the Sindh High Court's verdict about delimitations is not clear, due to which the  government might experience difficulties in holding the local government elections and seek the Supreme Court's help.

Talking to the media at Sukkur Circuit House on Saturday, the CM said, that short time is left and the matter of delimitations should be decided. "We will accept whatever is decided by the apex court," he said adding that Rangers will be deployed wherever needed.

Referring to Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College in Sukkur, the CM said that had the college administration informed him beforehand, the objections of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council would have been addressed by now. Complaining about the indifference of the college administration, Shah said that he visits Sukkur every weekend but he was not informed about anything.

Local bodies minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, who accompanied the CM, termed the withdrawal of resignations by Muttahida Qaumi Movement as a good omen and said that their reservations should be addressed as soon as possible. Pakistan Peoples Party wants to hold local government elections on time and therefore is going to the apex court in connection with delimitations, said the local bodies minister.
