Encouragement: AIOU announces incentives for employees

The university will take measures for easy payment of monthly pension

ISLAMABAD: The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Wednesday announced incentives for its employees so as to improve the working environment, enabling them to deliver the best possible services to students and achieve the target of quality education. The package of incentives for lower grade employees was announced by AIOU Vice Chancellor Dr Shahid Siddiqui at an oath-taking ceremony of the employees welfare association. It includes up-gradation of medical and housing facilities and promotions. In addition, three additional blocks in residential colony and a community centre would be constructed. Under the package, working conditions of daily-wage employees and labourers will also be improved. The university will take measures for easy payment of monthly pension and a scheme for payment of remuneration to 70,000 tutors through a local bank has also been prepared.
