Author of The Alchemist took to Twitter a while ago to shower praise on Shah Rukh Khan's work, calling My Name is Khan the best film he has watched thus far:

Karan Johar was 'honoured' by the amazing response, to which Coelho expressed a desire to watch more of the duo's films:

The actor kept his promise and sent DVDs of a few of his iconic films including Chak De India, Swades, Asoka, Ra.One, Don and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna among many others.
Paulo was deeply touched by SRK's gesture and tweeted a picture of the gift:

SRK asked his followers to help out the famed novelist:

Paulo also praised the Bollywood megastar on Facebook stating that he deserved an Oscar for My Name IS Khan:
Apart from the honour of being acknowledged by one of the world's most celebrated authors, SRK has added another feather to his cap.
The actor is set to receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Edinburgh. He previously received an honorary doctorate degree in arts and culture from Britain's University of Bedfordshire in 2009, reports Pinkvilla.
