LAHORE: The University of Lahore has started an MS programme in engineering management at its Lahore School of Management (LSM). The programme was inaugurated on Sunday by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Chairman Jawed Salim Qureshi. Qureshi said management was a distinctive part of practical life. He said participants of the programme would find management skills useful in their professional careers. LSM Director Ali Sajid said classes for the course would be held on Sundays. He said the LSM planned to introduce a distance-learning initiative. “This will be beneficial to professionals and students living in far-flung areas,” he said. Sajid said the LSM also planned to introduce course-based education services. Anyone interested in a particular subject will be able to study it without admission to the full course.
