PESHAWAR:

ANP provincial president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has demanded the implementation of the kissan package in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. This was stated in a press statement issued from Bacha Khan Markaz on Saturday.

Hoti said K-P was in dire need of such an incentive since the province has been in a perpetual state of hostility and uncertainty due to the ongoing war on militancy.

“The onset of terrorism left the industrial and agricultural sectors of the province in chaos and this definitely needs to change now,” he said.

He urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to remove the ban on the package – the ban was implemented for the local bodies’ elections to be held.

“The package is for farmers from across the entire country and since elections are only being held in Punjab and Sindh, the package should be implemented in K-P and Balochistan without further delay,” said Hoti.
