Further, the Rangers spokesperson said the two suspects were involved in the attack on MQM's election commission in 2013 in various areas ,including Azizabad, Nazimabad, Makkah chowk and Yousuf Plaza.

"Orders for the attack on the election commission were given by leaders of the party itself, in order to gain sympathy of the people," the spokesperson added.

MQM lawmaker in Sindh Asssembly Raza Haider was assassinated in Karachi on August 2, 2010. Haider was shot dead in Jama Masjid Nazimabad, where he had gone to attend a funeral.

Napier Mole | 9 years ago | Reply The increasingly swaggering style of the rangers is robbing them of all the goodwill they earned in the early days by going against the real threat to Karachi peace namely the Lyari gangsters. In their increasingly bare attempt to crush mqm in a war of attrition coupled with psy-ops and propaganda wars, they are taking the socio-political issues of Karachi to a new level of complexity, a scenario obviously lost on the great minds running this operation.
bash gul | 9 years ago | Reply Well done Rangers. In 80s I have seen young terrorists of MQM roaming the lanes of Liaqatabad furniture market, demanding BHATTAH. Say whatever they may, they are a well organized terrorist group, sworn to undermine Karachi and Pakistan with instructions from THEIR MASTER'S VOICE in the East.Tehy are misleading the patriotic Urdu speaking people of Pakistan and now the silent masses are grateful to the Rangers. The Shiv Sena in India are a terrorist group, but they are loyal to India. The MQM is run on the same style as the Shiv Sena in India.
