Gearing up for muharram: Home dept prepares code of conduct

The parking arrangements for the vehicles will be separated from the majalis and procession sites

KARACHI: Sindh home department has prepared a 19-point code of conduct to maintain the law and order across the province during Muharram. All the DIGs and SSPs of police will hold meetings with religious scholars and leaders before the start of Muharram. “The relevant authorities must prevent religious scholars from making provocative speeches and take strict action against the violators,” stated the code of conduct. The parking arrangements for the vehicles will be separated from the majalis and procession sites. A complete ban will be imposed on carrying any kind of weapons, including a licensed one.
