ISLAMABAD: A woman teacher of Darul Islam Elementary School, Pirwadhai, told The Express Tribune here at the Lok Virsa on Thursday that the state-of-affairs at the educational institute were deplorable. Requesting not to be named, the teacher who had come to visit the Teacher’s Literature Festival said that the school was functioning in a small rented building. She said that the classrooms were so small that there was hardly any space for the teacher to stand. The teacher said that there were only 10 teachers for 500 students enrolled at the school. The teacher said that in the past they were asked to administer polio drops too. She said that all this affected their performance.
