The National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and Centre for Pakistan and Gulf Studies (CPGS) signed a memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation on Wednesday. NUML Rector Maj Gen (retd) Ziauddin Najam and CPGS President Senator Sehar Kamran signed the agreement in a ceremony at NUML. Under the agreement, both institutions will collaborate in research, seminars and workshops, and build the capacity of both institutions. The two organisations will also assist each other in the planning, coordination and implementation of initiatives aimed at improving mutual understanding and capacity-building through training programmes. The NUML rector said CPGS is striving to promote a positive image of Pakistan, not only in South Asia but in the world and contributing as a think-tank. Kamran said CPGS is a non-partisan research institute committed to global security, geopolitics and conflict resolution.
