Speaking to The Express Tribune, Noori frontman and lead vocalist Ali Noor said the delay is due to a printing problem. “We’re going to release a full-fledged book alongside the album and, unfortunately, the prints didn’t dry up in time. So, we’ve made the decision to postpone the release,” he said.
Elaborating on the book that would accompany the record, Noor explained it’s nothing like the usual merchandise that bands hand out to fans, and deems it to be a souvenir for the band’s fan base. “We’re not looking to make money off this.”
According to Noor, BGBS is unlikely to have a wide release like that of the preceding albums. “We haven’t decided about how we want to release BGBS, but I don’t think we’d place its copies in CD stores,” he shared. “In this day and age, where just a few people buy albums, we feel only our loyal fans would purchase BGBS. So, we’ve decided to have a limited release,” he added.
BGBS is set for a simultaneous release on the online music-streaming portal Patari. The band recently toured Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore to promote BGBS.
