Unpaid: Lawyer seeks case against former client
Petitioner Advocate Mehar Shahid Hayat requested the court to direct the SHO to register a case against Zafar
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge on Monday sought comments from the Shalimar SHO on a petition seeking the registration of a case in a cheque fraud case. Petitioner Advocate Mehar Shahid Hayat told the court that Naveed Zafar, detained at Camp Jail, had agreed to pay him Rs300,000 for representing him in court. “I succeeded in getting him acquitted. He gave me two cheques for Rs210,000 and Rs65,000. However, both the cheques were dishonoured,” he said. He requested the court to direct the SHO to register a case against Zafar and his wife.
