SWABI: The Swabi DPO imposed a ban on the use of loudspeakers under a loudspeakers act on Monday. According to a press release issued from the office of Swabi DPO Javed Iqbal, no one is allowed to use a loudspeaker for anything other than reciting the azaan (the call for prayers) and giving Friday sermons. Moreover, no one is allowed to use loudspeakers for speeches about any sort of messages. Strict action will be taken against those who violate the ban, the press release quoted the DPO as saying.
