Judge Salim Jan Khan heard arguments from defence and prosecution along with witness accounts. He concluded that Nasir, a resident of Charsadda Road, killed a police constable on October 21, 2014.

The prosecutor told the court a police team was on routine patrol when it saw some suspicious-looking people in a vehicle. When the police checked the vehicle, they found weapons and grenades with the suspected criminals.
“Nasir started firing at the police team which resulted in the death of a constable while another was injured. The other criminals managed to escape, but Nasir was arrested with the weapons and grenades,” he stated.
The police charged the suspect under Section 302 and Section 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code, Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act as well as Section 4 and Section 5 of the Explosive Substances Act.
The counsel pointed out a lower court already dismissed the bail application of the suspect, adding he should be severely punished for
his crime.
Meanwhile, the defence contended that Nasir had been falsely implicated in the case and there is no solid proof against him.
Upon hearing the arguments, the court awarded the death sentence to the accused.
