Almost a year since its release, the buzz surrounding Na Maloom Afraad refuses to die out. Having already checked off multiple achievements on their list, including an international premiere in London and an eight month-long run in Pakistani cinemas, the team behind the film will be flying out to Harvard University to deliver a talk on the movie.

Nabeel Qureshi, the director of the blockbuster hit, told The Express Tribune that the team had been invited to discuss their film at the Harvard-Brown Pakistani Film Festival. “We have been asked to come and discuss our film with the audience at the festival and also speak about the growing Pakistani cinema in general,” stated Qureshi.

The filmmaker mentioned how earlier last year, they had been approached for the same purpose but had to refuse the offer since the film had not hit cinema screens at the time. Apart from Na Maloom Afraad, newly-released Manto will also be screened at the festival. Punjabi film Zinda Bhaag was shown at the Harvard film festival last year.

Further, Na Maloom Afraad is expected to be screened at another festival in Washington DC on September 27. The movie, which was released a year ago on Eidul Azha, minted Rs140 million upon the completion of its 25 week run.

The comedy-thriller stars Javed Sheikh, Fahad Mustafa and Mohsin Abbas Haider.
