Counter argument: ‘NAB proceedings according to law’

The statement said that all its inquiries are conducted by a Combined Investigation Team

The National Accountability Bureau, in reference to Punjab Provincial Minister Rana Mashood Khan’s said that his letter to the chairman was being processed in accordance with the law and SoPs. “Any proceedings against anybody are conducted strictly in accordance with the law, with utmost objectivity and without any consideration of fear of or favour to anybody,” a press release issued by the bureau said. It further said that a person alleged to have committed a cognizable offence is provided ample opportunity of defence and hearing before appropriate forum. The statement said that all its inquiries are conducted by a Combined Investigation Team (CIT) comprising of Investigation Officers, Prosecutors and Senior Supervisory Officers.
